Nicole Wren, Founder/Business Operations Manager & Senior Writer

Nicole founded Resumes to Impress (Go Resumes) in 2012. A qualified psychologist with post-graduate qualifications in Human Resources, at that time Nicole was working in the vocational rehabilitation industry, assisting job seekers looking to make career transitions due to permanent injuries (including transitioning Defence members).  

After discussions with these individuals it was obvious they had transferrable skills suitable for a variety of different careers, but their resumes didn’t do them justice!  This piqued Nicole’s interest in resume writing and she began to utilise her skills as a resume consultant in interviewing and professional writing to ensure each applicant’s resume reflected those ‘hidden’ skills that were needed to show the employer they were up to the job.  The satisfaction gained from supporting these individuals secure their dream roles after challenging periods for them was immense.

From there, the business was born. With demand ever-growing (due mostly to word-of-mouth referrals), Nicole is now supported by a team of expert writers, each bringing a wealth of experience and expert skills.

All writers at Resumes to Impress are degree-qualified, with backgrounds in Human Resources or professional writing. The team utilise a unique, systemised method to uncover the hidden skills and talents of jobseekers in order to highlight their suitability for the job they want. Working closely with a range of industry leaders across industries including mining and construction, health and education, they understand exactly ​what employers want to see, in terms of resume and application content and design.
