Graduate Nursing Selection Criteria Examples
During my nursing placement at XX Hospital, I worked on a case involving an elderly patient with multiple chronic conditions. The patient’s care required close coordination among nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, and social workers. I actively participated in daily team meetings, where I provided updates on the patient’s condition and contributed to the care plan discussions.
When the patient developed complications related to diabetes, I collaborated with the endocrinologist and dietitian to adjust the patient’s treatment plan, ensuring all aspects of their care were addressed. I assisted in administering the new medication regimen and monitored the patient’s response, promptly reporting any changes to the team.
I supported my fellow nurses by taking on extra tasks during busy shifts, ensuring that patient care remained consistent and effective. As a result of our collaborative efforts, the patient’s condition stabilised, leading to a significant improvement in their overall health.
Note a cover letter is not required.
